The International Volunteer Day is celebrated every year on December 5 since 1985, to thank the efforts made by the volunteers and their organizations, as well as to promote their values ​​and publicize the achievements they achieve in their communities, either through non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, government agencies or the private sector.

For INPRHU Somoto volunteering is a fundamental pillar in institutional and community work, our volunteers have been carrying out actions aimed at benefiting the neediest populations.

Currently we have the volunteers from Carrefour from Solidarite Internationnal (CSI) Canada, Sara Gosselin, supporting in themes on Sexual Health and Reproductive Life, Haidi Laidlaw, Rural Tourism, Maryline Ruel-Lebrun, supports in themes about life skills with women, Adrienne Richards, topics on the environment and climate change, Charline Gagnon, help on water and sanitation issues and Laurie De Serre who is a volunteer in the Education for Children project, we also have Leticia Sánchez, official of the Government of the Castilla and León, Spain, supporting themes and activities of the Water and Sanitation Project in the Municipality of Totogalpa.
